Mark Zuckerberg nasceu em White Plains, Condado de Westchester no estado de Nova York, filho de Karen e Edward. A mãe uma psiquiatra, e de Edward, o pai, um dentista. Após algum tempo, Mark criou um programa bem diferente, no inicio foi chamado de Facemash, o programa permitia aos alunos escolher a pessoa com melhor aparência nas fotos.
